Question Firefox Problem

I’ve been using Firefox now for a long time. Like most people that give it a try, I really like it. However, over the last month to six weeks it will at times start using CPU cycles like crazy. Just a few minutes ago I found it using 53% for no reason. Closing tabs will sometime help, but it’s not any single web site that appears to be guilt. I’ve tried to duplicate with IE, but can’t get the same result.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Does anyone have a solution?

I’m using Version 1.0.4

Do you have any extensions installed that might be CPU intensive?

First and foremost, update to FF 1.06 to plug in wide-open security vulnerability holes that were present in previous versions of FF.
