http file association

Hi all,

I am using firefox and am very happy with it. I have an http file which I want IE6 to open but it's always firefox that opens the file. I've tried removing firefox to no avail. How do I change the file association?

Create a blank HTML file on your desktop (extension name .html), right click on it, and select Open With > Choose Program. Then select Internet Explorer and check mark the box for Always open with the program...

you can always get this extension for firefox

IE View - Firefox Extension
https://addons.mozilla.org/extension...?id=35&vid=156

it gives you to open certain links in IE if you need them to be. it also has options where you can set certain pages to only be opened in IE if need be. It's a great little extension.

Thanks a lot Statica. I have gotten the file to open with IE6. I've also reinstalled firefox without a hitch. Lobos, thanks also for the tip, I'm gonna try that firefox extension.

Thanks to all.
