silencing the internet w/ FF

how do u stop websites automatically playing noises etc from websites with FF?

websites that make noise/ play music (without my permission) are something that really gets on my nerves; they either blurt out of nowhere from the quiet, or clash with whatever music i have playing.

[extra annoying when u have loads of tabs open and don't know which its coming from!!]

that only works for Internet Explorer, to my knowledge it can't be done with FF. The only solution is to install the Adblock extension, there you can disable various sound files, mp3's etc.
