Domain Names for Sale/ Cyber Squatting
I have a dot com address for my company. I also have the rights to the names with a number of different endings (.org etc). I have been contacted by someone who would like to sell me the name with an ending I do not have. Do I need to buy the name - if the seller is not trading then is he doing what they call 'cyber squatting'. If so what are my options to obtain the name at the least cost.

As long as you have the big 3, .com, .org and .net, I wouldn't worry much about the others.

I wouldn't even if it's a extension that you wanted, I think it's tackless that some people try to make money off of domain names. I think (But I'm no lawyer) that if you hand a name that was trademark (Pepsi for example) and that someone bought the rights to it I don't think they can extort you for it. I think I read that some time ago on the net, but I could be wrong.
