firefox tweak to get faster browsing

there is this tweak for firefox, where you can adjust how many times the browser pings a website to get results. This should make browsing faster. I found the tweak at this forums a year back, but I don't remember it now. Anyone knows how to do it? Its just typing stuff in the http area. This tweak does not use firetune or any 3rd party software.
Thanks.

http://www.sitename.com/? - Treat as a browser command line, not a link.

The /? switch tells the browser to look for an uncached version of the page. I've seen that speed things up.

-=Speed Up Firefox. Browse pages even faster!=-

Forevergeek.com has a useful guide on speeding up firefox for broadband users. This works great!
__________________________________________________ ____________
1.Type “about:config” into the address bar and hit return. Scroll down and look for the following entries:

network.http.pipelining network.http.proxy.pipelining network.http.pipelining.maxrequests

Normally the browser will make one request to a web page at a time. When you enable pipelining it will make several at once, which really speeds up page loading.
__________________________________________________ ______________
2. Alter the entries as follows:

Set “network.http.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.proxy.pipelining” to “true”

Set “network.http.pipelining.maxrequests” to some number like 8. This means it will make 8 requests at once.
__________________________________________________ ______________
3. Lastly right-click anywhere and select New-> Integer. Name it “nglayout.initialpaint.delay” and set its value to “0”. This value is the amount of time the browser waits before it acts on information it receives.

If you’re using a broadband connection you’ll load pages MUCH faster now!
This is the only tweak I know of Firefox which speeds up webbrowsing. What it does it increase the amount of pipelines, it doesn't mean making several connections at once, but cuts your connection to x amount of parts.

The Tweak Network extension will enable all the connections and pipelining settings for you. You'll also be able to toggle between Power and Default settings.

One thing about this method it does not work well with HOTU. Risking of being banned.
