Nope - no spell checker. Why don't you use Pegasus or Eudora as your email client? They both have spell checkers (I believe - I know Pegasus does) and can be your default MAPI. They also don't have the security issues that Outhouse Express does.
(I use Opera and Pegasus) |

Okay - you need to do all the following to do this right:
Install Pegasus and make sure you check the box to install Internet Explorer default mail support. Then install the Pegasus Mail MAPI support - this will be in the start menu under the Pegasus group. Choose "Simple MAPI". Go into Internet Options in control panel and pick Pegasus Mail as your default e-mail client on the Programs tab. Then open Opera's preferences, E-mail, and pick Use the system's default E-mail client - Pegasus Mail should already be listed in there. Now, every time you click on a mailto link in Opera, it will open Pegasus with a new mail form ready to go. |

Thanks glc i had done everything but install the simple mapi
however it didn't fix the problem i got around the error by entering my pop 3 server info again but unchecking the box to have opra automaticaly go get my mail which has the same effect as deleting the account |

You have to create a folder - tools/options/general has the place to put the default location - mine is called "copies to self". Tools/options/message settings has a couple more options for copying self - as does the new message form itself.
I should have warned you - and I apologize - Pegasus is not a "no brainer" client like Outhouse Express - it is an extremely powerful program and as such has a LOT of configuration options. You might want to take some time and read the online help. It will help you a lot in customizing the program to work the way you want. I take what this program does for granted because I have been using it for over 5 years now and the updates haven't really changed it much. I hear this is going to change with version 4 - from what I hear it might as well be a whole new program. |
