Web Site Hosting

Ive got a site Im ready to put up.. Ive been looking for a host and was thinking of going with this plan (basic) http://www.hypermart.net/t/join/joinsignup/joinhost

Let me know how that one sounds to you guys.. What are some other really good web hosts I can check out?

It looks okay. Not much is given about what servers that they are using which worries me a bit. Are you going to write your own HTML or use their site tools? If you are going to write your own. Check this thread for some host info.

Im wanting to use Dreamweaver or Frontpage.. Which one is easier for a beginner?

Front Page is easier for a beginner, but is proprietary as all heck. Dreamweaver is supposed to be VERY good.

Frontpage is junk and full of propietary stuff. Dreamweaver is the best WYSIWYG editor around though it can write some bulky code. I personally use Homesite but hand edit my pages. Learn some HTML first before you do anything. You will have a better understanding of how things work and if you need to dig in the code, it makes it easier.

HostRocket is okay. I haven't heard much bad about them. I still like HostMatters for their great support and low prices.

Agree, stick to Dreamweaver. It has the neatest code of all WYSIWYG editors and is pretty close to HTML standards. FrontPage on the other hand takes hundreds of lines of code just to write "This is my web page!"
