Partial emails
I often get emails from a friend who uses att.net. Most of his emails arrive with only part of the text and the only way I can read the rest of the email is by opening the Message Source window (I use Outlook Express).
In the header, I found what might be a clue: "iPlanet-SMTP-Warning: Lines longer than SMTP allows found and truncated. " This happens only with his emails and he tells me that I'm the only recipient to have complained about this (maybe others are too nice?). Is there something he or I (or both) can do to remedy this? Thanks EdP |

What is he using to compose the emails? It could be that he's using a non-compliant (with SMTP) or his SMTP server is in violation of some of the rules that have been established for SMTP. Either, he needs to try using another email client that does not softwrap lines; or if the issue persists, he needs to take it up with his ISP. (usually a simple 'wrapsmtp' in the configuration should do the trick).

Thanks, statica, I've contacted my buddy to let him know what you advise. Let's see if he ignores us. ;o)
