New Firefox release

Firefox just released the 1.5 RC1 version. (RC = Release Canidate). Seems OK so far, but note it is Not the final release of 1.5, just a higher BETA than BETA 2 it replaced.

How did you get a hold of RC1? I haven't seen anything on the website, on the Deveoper's News site, or even through my automatic updates (through beta 2).

Click on Try Firefox 1.5 BETA 2's download button. It'll take you to the download page where RC1 is at.

Meh, i'll just wait till the final release. My 1.0.7 is working fine, so i'll stick with "If it Ain't Broke, Dont Fix It"

I think all the old extentions stop working in the new version. that means a lot of work for me when I upgrade

Hi All,

J1978: Version 1.0.7 is the lastest "offical" release. 1.5 is still in testing. If you go to their site, they list all the differences between changes -- way too many to list here.

ghost2003: Don't know about all extentions... but I've never lost the few that I have. Doing a System Restore and / or a backup before installing newer versions of any software is never a bad idea

ComputerNut: I'd sure like to hear the theory on that! Things have changed a whole lot since I did any programing. Post a thread on it, but post a link here, too, so we can know when it happens, OK?

ryan124712: Like I mentioned above... I've never lost any, but I don't have that many installed, either. If you're not sure, then maybe waiting for the final release of 1.5 would be better.
