Wireless input
Is there a device available that i can connect to the incoming phone/ADSL point and transmit this to any point in the house so that i can choose where to put computer without having a phone extension point. Will i also need a card in the computer to receive signal?

It's called wireless networking. You'll need a wireless router and a wireless network adaptor for the pc.

It depends on whether you have an external ADSL modem or an internal/PCI modem. If your ADSL modem is internal, then unfortunately you dont have too many choices but to have your computer near the phone jack. If your modem is external, then you can connect your modem to a router and either use a wired or wireless connection between your router and your computer.
