AT&& Worldnet; Any Good?
I saw a TV ad for AT&T Worldnet last night and their new deal is $7 per month and 7 cents per minute for long distance. Of course you have to switch to AT&T for your long distance carrier. Anyone know anything about there internet service, good or bad?

I beleive you have to put up with their "ads" that are built into the browser
![]() But, I've been using attglobal.net for 4+ years. It has alway gotten great reviews on review sites. |

That is an ad supported service almost like NetZero, where you have an adbar that you can't get rid of. the service itself is excellent if you can put up with the BS.

If your looking for a great dial-up service cheap check this one out. They used to be called Surfree and they were great, their software works and you get newsgroups access for $16.25 a month (No ADS or Long Distance BS)

I've used ATT for a few years now, and have been pleased with their performance. The only complaint I had,was when they had a great write-up in a computer magazine around Christmas one year. I got busy signals when trying to dialup. I called their 800 #, and they gave me a different # to use, that wasn't available to their general new customers. And for the months that I got busy signals,2 months, they gave me 2 free months of service.
I am on $14.95/mo plan that gives me 150 hrs a month, which is more than I need, and I never get a busy signal. I don't get unwanted banners, and my connection speeds are from 38666 to 40000bps on an old phone line, far from the source. So far, so good, for me. hope this helps for you. |
