Outlook express - urgent help needed thankyou
If anyone can help it will be greatly appreciated.
I am using outlook express for email basically i have attempted to send messages, these messages go into the outbox folder, i can then select send/receive I do this the messages do actually get sent, BUT an error message still appears informing that they weren't "some errors occured while processing the requested tasks, please review the list of errors below for more details" I do this and their is no list of errors but in the status section next to tasks it says warnings. These emails can not be moved into any folder and can not be deleted "the selected message(s) can not be moved an error has occured" email usage is imperitive to my work so i must continualy send and receive mail each time i send it sends these same emails off and they do not budge from the outbox. the receivers have mentioned they have received the same email at least 38 times TODAY please any ideas :-( I need to fix this ASAP |

In Outlook Express chooose tools then options, on the send tab is there a tick in the send messages immediately?
I would recheck all setttings, particularly the pop3 and smtp settings for your appropriate ISP. Doug |

Hi Subway1,
Welcome to PC Mechanic !! ![]() Sometimes OE's Outbox can become currupt and give unpredicted results and errors. Try this: Open OE and remove any emails in the Outbox you may want to keep (if you can). Put them in the Drafts folder so you can find them later. Then close OE and open Windows Explorer. Navigate to the directory where you keep you emails. Find the Outbox.dbx and delete it. Don't worry, OE will rebuild this file the next time it starts (but any info in the old one will be deleted...). Hopefully that will take care of your problem. HTH TwoRails |
