Problem getting on to my website

Hi all,

For some reason today when i try to go on my own website this comes up-

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/noonhost/public_html/config/multiforums.config.inc.php on line 10
Unable to connect to database on 'localhost' with user 'noonhost_phpb1'
Please check your settings in multiforums.config.inc.php!

Can someone please tell me what this is?

What's your website? Does it have forums?

Sounds like something went funky in your mysql database.

The problem may be unrelated to your site. That message can popup if you are using shared hosted and the global MySQL values are set too low. Check with your host.

Yeah my website a is a forum -
http://computerconsole.noonhost.com/...erconsole.html

If you take a look the forum no longer works.

I know this may seem stupid but i contacted PhpBB who hosts my forum and they had a look and then they said they dont host my forum they just provide the software for it.
how would i find out who hosts my website as i did not create the site it was my freind but hes now moved to New Zealand and it isnt all that easy getting hold of him.
As you can see by the link i cannot access the forum at all niether can my members.
My brother thinks there servers may be down but surely not for 2 days?
Thanks

Looks like www.noonhost.com hosts your server. I'd give them a holler and see what's up.

Thanks blue60007

I gave that link a try but i got another blank page with a diffrent error-

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2) in /home/noonhost/public_html/config/multiforums.config.inc.php on line 10
Unable to connect to database on 'localhost' with user 'noonhost_phpb1'
Please check your settings in multiforums.config.inc.php!

My forum has still not worked properly

Im not happy at all with this, My members have sent me E-mails asking why my forum is down and it dosent look like PhpBB (My Host) is doing anything about it and i cant contact them as their Help & Sopport website is also down.
I think its time to change forum providers.

PHPBB isn't your sever/host. They provide the software, and they don't provide support for it unless they are hosting it.

This is actually a common problem with "bargain basement" hosting companies... many of them host websites in their garage and skimp on the hardware and software configurations (how they keep prices so low).

I used to use a $6 a month place and had problem like this all the time. If their power/internet goes out at their house, too bad.

I'm not saying all bargain hosts are like this, but you do get what you pay for.
