Hey, I just would like to let you all know I have recovered from my W95.CIH virus by formatting my drive.(it was my only choice after the virus infected all of the exe files inmy windows folder)
Now I need to know of a web design contest that is still open for entires. I'm bored and nees someting to do. Thanx |

Just a thought. Lots of local churches and non-profit groups would like to be online and have a web-site. You might try stopping by a few and see if you can get some real world experience that way instead of a contest.

Yeah, you will be supprised how much the real world is different. You make up a really nice and smooth design, and you'll see that they want marquees and animated gifs,... The hard part in the web design is not making a design, but to make the customer accept the design.

If you want to do something charitable, you can go to:
http://www.thehungersite.com/cgi-bin...jects/CTDSites that's good too. Good Luck

Oh! I thought you wanted to learn or practice your web building skills, not gain recognition. Those two don't go together BTW. How many famous web-site designers can you name without using google? Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I know what you mean...
Hey, buddy, it's ok if you want to donate to charity. We all do it sometimes. How about the March of Dimes? |

I'm going to lock this thread - it's turning into a pissing contest on BOTH sides of the coin which is not tolerated in these forums.
Krono - if you don't believe in charity, that's your right and privilege, but do not give other members who suggest it a hard time. Guys - leave him alone. Your intentions were nothing but good, but he doesn't seem to want to accept your suggestions. |
