How in the world do you use Thunderbird?
Ok these might be dumb questions, but they are driving me up the wall. I switched to FireFox I don't know how long ago, but I just made the switch the Thunderbird, or I'm trying to.
First off, how do you get this thing to SHOW you what it's doing? I want a progess bar of the mail left to download, and when there is a connection problem to the server I would like it to TELL me. I don't like these kinds of programs working in the background. And, what is the deal with passwords in this thing? Could they be more of a pain? Just to test and get a feel for the program I set-up two accounts. My ISP e-mail address which is POP3, and my uni student address that is IMAP. The pop address worked fine, which is how I found out about how little info it's giving me. But, I put the info in for my IMAP account and it never asked me for my password the first time I went check mail on it. Went and cleared the saved passwords and restarted the program. Never asked me for the new passwords for either account. There has to be a way to enter passwords into an account by hand somewhere right? Maybe I just used Outlook Express too long. I don't know. Thanks in advance.
