SSL Problem

Hi, I'm having a small but persistent problem with making SSL work on my website. I am renting hosting space from an online hosting seller so I don't have access to very much. I'm using the cpanelx software and modSSL to manage my certificates. All I'm trying to do is setup an SSL certificate on my site. I haven't used one you pay for yet since I want to know for sure that it is going to work, so I've been using Self Signed ones. Everytime I try to access my site with https at the beginning it either gives me a message that this part of the site has not been setup yet, or the connection was interupted. My site is www.speedycomputing.com if that helps. Its probably a stupid mistake or ignorance of mine. Any suggestions are helpful, Thank You.
