Firefox 1.5: a disaster of a browser
Now, all of the sudden I can't click on any of my bookmarks. Also, the autofill works some days and other days it doesn't. This, in addition to the chronic crashes involving various sites as outlined in previous post lead me to believe that this was released WAY too soon. I never had any of these problems with 1.0.
I like firefox as much as the next guy but mozilla has really dropped the ball with this release |

Really? I haven't had any problems with 1.5. Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling? Did you uninstall your previous version of Firefox before you upgraded?

No problems here nor on any of the other computers I installed it on.
I remember your other post from before Xmas, did you go to the Mozilla forum?

I don't have the time to investigate every little problem that's cropped up. I'm just saying that this version is very buggy and I never had these issues with earlier version. Also, java and firefox seems like a bad mix. My java script console has hundreds of various error messages in it and I have the latest java installed. |

I am having lots of issues with 1.5 also - I lost all my bookmarks, random toolbars always pop up, and half the time I have to repermit sites to allow cookies. You can always download the older version and use that - which is what I will probably be doing soon also.

I was upset at the lack of extensions and themes that did not work. I rolled back to 1.0.7 after a week of trying to get 1.5 to work properly.

No problems whatsoever, and I use the branch and trunk builds.
Regarding Autofill, this hasn't been updated by the author but someone has created a workaround and it works normally now in 1.5 and 1.6a1. Autofill Workaround.
