Annoying problem with "favorites"
There is a pin icon at the top of the favorites menu. You can set it to be open all the time or to "autohide". Normally I set it to "autohide". Each time a new browser window opens, the favorites menu is also set to "autohide", and I like it that way.
I installed someting recently (I think it was a Java update that my computer made me do) that change all that. Now each time a new window opens in IE, it opens with the favorites menu displayed, and I have to switch it to "autohide" every time. I looked at all of the options in the "advanced" section of IE "tools" and could not find anything that might help this.
Now, I know that this is not a major problem in the grand scheme of things, but any help that you can give would be appreciated.
IE 6.0, Windows XP
