Smile Firefox 1.5.0.1 update

It's the new upgrade and it will pop-up and scare you if you gave Mozilla the permissions to do that.
No trouble with it except for the fact that my FoxyTunes extensions needed to be replaced with it's own new version.

Hmm. FF 1.5 is constantly going haywire on me. One moment I have all my bookmarks and the Google Quick Search works, the next moment they are gone. A mystery I don't know if I will ever figure out. Thanks for the notice.

Haven't had those problems, ryan124712, so I don't know if the update will help or not. I did notice, though, that 1.5.0.1 loads a heck of a lot faster!

Mine wouldn't patch, had to download the whole browser to upgrade. I though the patching was supposed to get rid of the need for this.

It patched beautifully for me, notified me prior to installation what extension wouldn't work .. patched came back and told me that my nonworking extension update was available. Couldnt be happier.

ran the update. the autofill feature still doesn't work for me. this version 1.5x continues to be the buggiest version i've seen so far.

Did you try manually editing the config file? Or typing about:config in the address bar. Scroll down to browser.formfill.enable and making sure that it is set to true? You need to double click to toggle it.

Actually, 1.5x is the smoothest I have installed yet and the most 'user friendly.' I uninstalled my older Firefox that had been installed around a year ago and updated until then and installed a fresh copy of 1.5 the other night. Today the 1.5.0.1 update downloaded and installed and I have found nothing wrong with it.

I dunno, maybe it's something in my firefox profile that caused the updater not to work.

I normally download the new release and manually do the update, but this time I let the auto-install do it's thing. I had no problems and everything is working just fine.
