Thunderbird profiles
As you know, Tbird stores the mail info as one big file. The more mail you have, the bigger that file. For some reason, in my profile folder there are 2 separate subfolders (one called Local Folders and one called pop.gmail.com), both with "inbox" files that are approx 1 GB apiece. One is slightly larger than the other. Why are there 2? I'm gonna back up my profile folder but one of these "inbox" files is taking up an unnecessary gig of space. Can someone tell me how to identify which one is a useless duplicate?

I do use gmail...but that doesn't explain why there are 2. Did I accidently create another account that I'm not using?

I dont know. But you can find out by going into Tools>account settings and see what accounts are set up.
