FireFox Bookmark Woes
I have been running FireFox for 1/2 a year with no troubles.
However, this morning my browser would not allow access to the internet until I assigned it a browser designation even though it was shown to be the default browser. So I went through the FireFox procedure & declared it again the default browser. But when I got on line I then noticed that my bookmarks were gone. So went to the Mozilla website to see if anyone else was having trouble but couldn't find the discussion forum. Now I notice that that I'm getting pop ups which I never experienced before. Anyone know what is going on? KCD |

I've never run into a problem with bookmarks and FF, so I don't have any ideas there, but here is their forum link:

Two Rails, Appreciate the quick response.
Found that form earlier just didn't dig deep enough & read the posts. Here is the first appearance & apparently I'm not alone http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=386520 Will go thru FF's de-bug procedures & will let the board know the fix when I get the bookmarks back. Thanks KCD |

Two Rails & those interested.
Being forced to create another default profile , see 1st post, do not do the following unless you also have created another profile or there is a good possibility that you may loose all your bookmarks. After several attempts performing FF's de-bug, with no results, I did the following: Click on Start > Run then type in firefox.exe -P when the profile I created today came up I requested deletion. When FF gave me warnings about doing such I continued with the delete. After that process finished I turned off the computer & rebooted 10 minutes later. After reloading FF browser didn't come back as quick as it normally does, but it did come back with all my bookmarks. The only thing I lost was todays history. Again, if you have not created another profile do NOT follow the above steps. KCD |
