IE6 problems

For some reason my browser (IE6 SP2) wont open yahoo, microsoft.com and a few other normal websites. It just comes up with page cannot be displayed. Also its being running quite slow.

But is ok, with anything else I type in for example this site……………..

IV checked the add on’s and also run the file checker system in the run command but to no avail.

Iv also tried system restore but the same thing keeps happening.

Is there a way of repairing the browser, or restoring / checking it?

Thanks, Caine

Could be DNS related. Could be some issues with spyware/adware.

Try repairing your Network Connection:
Start/Control Panel/Network Connections, right-click your connection and select repair. This will release and renew your IP as well as dumping your DNS cache.

Do a spyware scan.
