Download Speed Boosters?
Does anyone have knowledge of these boosters such as PGWare Throttle, are they any good, do they work also are there any disadvantages?

Most popular is Download Accelerator Plus. I am very happy with it. It is great for me. And also if you are using proxy server you must set this also in DAP. I was using GetRight before but I am happier with DAP. Try it

If I can comment...
A lot of these programs are useless unless: 1) You have a dual-WAN router (a Router with 2 or more Internet connections) 2) The Site your downloading from has lower upload bandwidth than your download speed. 3) Rarely, but still a possibility, the Site your downloading from throttles each individual upload connection at a rate less than your Internet connection's capacity. |
