reading 11 mbs but its a g
i just set up my buddys wireless and its a linksys wireless g broadband router and its goin to a new laptop and it is only reading 11mbs

Is the wireless adapter in the laptop capable of faster speeds?

Make sure the router is set to transmit/receive at the 54MB/sec. Is the wireless link unobstructed?
