Finally got around to installing it, and Firefire is now back to being fast like the earlier versions. Another diff I've found is that sites load fully a lot faster. Example, when checking out threads, FF's little cirlce would spin for a long time (or never even stop sometimes), now it finishes in a split second

Thanks, TR. Time to update the "other" browser.

Must say I'm liking the automatic update feature of 1.5.x.x, mine just popped up stating that it had downloaded the new version, and was waiting on a restart. It then checked for compatibility with extensions.

Much better than having to download the full browser again.

I like the auto feature too, but I must admit I still download the file in case I want to go back to it or pass along a certain rev to others.

I didn't even know I was using the updated version. I'm definately all for this automatic update setup - it was a nuisance to visit mozilla.org on a regular basis to check out updates. Thanks TR.

Yeah, I rather enjoy the auto updates...Mainly because I tend to loose track of when Mozilla releases an update, and I realize it like a month afterwards (Not like thats a totally bad thing, its just sometimes with respect to some security holes, you'd want to patch them up sooner than later)
