Address bar in IE6.0

My brother is having big problems when trying to navigate from the address bar. He gets an hourglass that never seems to quit. He has to close IE to get functionality back. Any other method of browsing seems to work fine. Any folks ever have this problem before? A fix?

He PREFERS IE6. He only downloaded Netscape temporarily until he could get this problem fixed.

Why dont you try reinstalling IE 6? There are two pages here that will show you how to reinstall it:

Wait till after he gets Microsoft's latest "patch for the patch".
That may solve the problem for him.
