Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and has to close

Hi,

I have recently done a complete reinstall of Windows XP yet I regularly have the message: 'Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and has to close...' etc where I am invited to report the problem and debug then the page I am viewing closes. It often happens when a pdf tries to open in IE but also in other cases which I do not understand. What could be causing this problem and how do I go about correcting it?

Check your printer driver. I have had it do this with some faulty HP printer drivers.

Send a message via Yahoo to toomyg
I had this happen with me when I load PDF files from the net and try to click the back button or the stop button before the file is loaded BUT if I allow the file to load (PDF FILE) it works OK
