Web Links not launching from within programs

Hello,

As the title says i am not able to launch Web Links from within programs. I first noticed this when i tried to check my e-mail in Trillian. I also cannot access the windows defender website through the link within the program.

I can access these sites as normal through typing in the address in my browser though.

I have been updating my computer recently so i thought i'd ask someones advice as i'm not sure where to look. I have recently replaced zonealarm with sunbelt kerio personal firewall. I have also installed windows defender. I have also switched to using mozilla firefox (the latest version 1.5.0.3.).

Is Firefox your default browser? If not you may have a problem with links opening. Another general purpose fix is to dump your browser cache.

I hadn't set Firefox as the default browser. Now i have it works fine
