I would like some recommendations for a web service which provides good quality landscape photos?

Any ideas thank you.

For free I have used Stock Xchange
For a subscription, there are plenty. I have used PhotoObjects before and it is pretty good. Hemera DVD's of stock images are also quite good.

The problem with using Google is that those images aren't necessarily public domain. Just because Google has indexed them doesn't mean that you can use them.
