Yahoo messenger

Dear All,
I have Dell 80GB HDD, 256MB RAM and 2.4GB Processor with Windows XP Home. Recently I had a problem with my yahoo messenger. Each time I launch it it would indicate a error and that the probgramme would soon close down. I uninstalled it completely from Control panel and from c, then re-installed the beta version. It started working okay until three days ago, when it began the same symptoms.

I m perplexed. Someone help me.
Thanks

Beta versions tend to have a lot of bugs, and considering the number of bugs that the average non-beta release of yahoo messenger has, that is likely the problem. I would uninstall it and replace it with an older version.
