Internet Explorer 7 400/403 Error
I recently installed IE 7 Beta and can no longer access most of my "financial services" websites, e.g. online billpay, statement retrieval, etc. I can get to the basic "home page" but when I login and try to go to the page with statments, balances, etc. I get a 400 or 403 error message. Other internet sites, where I have to log in, work okay. Also, I had no problems in IE 6.
Have played around with my Internet Options but no success. Can anyone suggest what setting I need to change?? OR Tell me what is going on with IE 7 that wasn't an issue in IE6?? Thanks in advance ... |

Most financial sites use browser detection to make sure that your browser is 'secure enough' for their site. The problem is that they don't detect IE7 properly. Some even interpret it as Netscrape 4.7. Nothing at all that you can currently do about it except use a different browser.

I have the same problem with Opera, identifying itself as Opera. I just use Firefox on those sites, it seems to work okay. IE6 is last resort, and I won't touch IE7 with a 10 foot pole - not that I could anyway, I'm using Win2000.
