Hi,
I am hoping this is the right place for the thread. I have high speed internet and dont want to install a 56k modem into the case. Is there a way to send/receive faxes with this option? A guy a used to work for had it set up where if the fax was being received, it would simply show up in OUtlook i believe. Thanks for input.

There are many web fax services available. See here for some information: http://www.savetz.com/fax/

Receiving with Efax is free - it won't be a local number and if you receive over 20 faxes a month they will require you to upgrade to the pay service, which will give you a local number and enable sending. There is both a monthly charge for this, and a per page charge for sending. I personally use free Efax for receiving (it sends received faxes to your email) and a 56k modem for sending in conjunction with a scanner. If you don't want to open the case, you can use a USB or serial port modem. You can of course use a modem for receiving too, if you have a dedicated phone line.
