IE7 favourites.....dead links?

I have installed on my system Internet Explorer 7 Beta 3 and have noticed that in my Favourites all the links are dead.

Clicking on them nothing happens.

Anyone know what is going on?

TIA.

Colin.

Does the internet work at all with your IE7, and what about if you right click the favorite and go into properties, does it all look good there??

be careful with ie7

I had dead links and a few other problems,I do think it will be a good browser once it gets out of beta mode.Beware, however in the uninstall of it,many people including myself had problems getting rid of it.I know they make it sound easy and it is if you dont use ant clean up programs ,like I do,but if anyone has problems getting back to ie6 give ma a yell and I can direct you on a site to download a file to uninstall ie7.

I've went back to IE6 but it is causing me a lot of problems.

My Google toolbar has gone and reinstalling it does not bring it back. I have IE version 6.0.2900.2180 on my computer now. Is this the latest version of 6? My browser is also acting a bit weird in other ways.

If anyone can help me with problems I'm now getting I'd really appreciate it. I don't want to have to reinstall Windows again.

A caution is appropriate here. I advise people not to put beta software on production machines unless you are prepared to wipe and start fresh. There's a reason it's called beta. With XP, *ALWAYS* make a system restore point prior to installation.

Thanks for that info George, I now wish I HAD created a restore point!

Another problem I'm getting is that even when I change my homepage, it always goes back to msn.com. Yet another problem I've noticed is that the System32 folder always opens when Windows starts.

I'm going to do something I've not done for ages and re-install Windows.

Sounds like you need to do some malware scans and some examination of your startups.

George, I've been doing a search around a number of forums in the last few days and it seems that malware is not involved in my homepage being locked to MSN.COM. There is apparently no fix for it and the general consensus among people is that Microsoft is behind this.

I meant with the system32 folder opening - there is something in your startups that should not be there.
