Looks like the page is not compatible with either FF or Opera. It opens in IE but not the other two. You can contact the Webmaster and let them know that millions of folks use a browser other than IE.

I notice that firefox tends to do that with .asp or .jsp pages. Now ive done a website using ASP, and it works fine with FF. Its strange how firefox is not parsing the HTML so I guess it has to do with the design of the page.

Firefox is no "safer" than IE when you are a sensible user that doesn't go to warez, porn, and game hack sites. Don't go pushing FF on anyone. Let your parents have IE back.

Thats also true. However me personally, I like FF for its GUI. Its simpler and has a quicker cookie/cache/temp removal method than IE. With regards to security, IE's popup blocking tactics dont seem as strong as FF, IMHO. And considering FF supports extensions like ad-block, i like how i dont have to worry about common pesky popups.

As long as we have webmasters that create for IE, there are going to be problems with 3rd party browsers that follow W3C standards, not M$ standards. Casual users are better off with IE, as they will not have problems such as this. FF and Opera are for tech savvy enthusiasts.

i know one of the reasons i got FF was because i heard it was safer but now i like the design and feel of it way better than IE. i really like the themes and the only extension i have is STUMBLE which is cool.

i would have to say i really like the pimpzilla theme for FF

I don't think that FF is for only tech savvy users... I'm proof. But I will say that for security purposes, Mozilla beats M$ hands down. They patch their software in a much more timely fashion than M$. It would take an act of Congress to get M$ to patch something without making us wait until 'Patch Tuesday'. And by no means am I a M$ basher. I use and enjoy most of their productivity software.

I've personally preferred Opera for years.

If the weakness of the popup blocker in IE is the only reason you don't use it, a good compromise is the Maxthon browser (formerly called MyIE2). It uses the base files of IE and you have to have IE installed on your machine to use Maxthon, but IMO it's popup blocker is the best I've ever seen......and yes, I used to use FF as well. I haven't had any "incompatible" pages since using Maxthon either like I used to have with FF. Here's a linky if you want to check it out.

You can always install the Google toolbar to block popups.

I know everybody's "mileage may differ" but in my own use, I've run into just a couple of incompatible pages with Firefox since I've used it (since the beta version). If I said "5" then it would be an over exaggeration. I’ve been using Opera more, but solely due to “old habits,” it’s not comfortable to me yet (but it is a good browser). I keep saying I’ll try Maxthon (even before it changed names) but haven’t gotten around to it yet...
