Internet
Alright, well I've decided to get a new computer for my room. I already have a computer thats in my basement. This computer that i'm getting, I am probably building myself.. and I use the computer for mostly downloading and playing games. What i want to know is, what is the best way for me to get internet in my room? My room doesnt have an ethernet outlet. Can anyone tell me the best way for me to have internet in my room without causing a load of lag for when im playing games or whatever?

The BEST way is to run a cable up from the basement. I assume you have a broadband modem and a router in the basement?

What I'm trying to avoid is running the cable up from the basement. I live in a condo so it would be a very big hassle for me to run a cable because it would be so long. I do have a broadband modem in the basement and I'm not sure about a router..I only have one comp right now.

Okay, what you will need is a wireless router connected to the broadband modem and a wireless network adapter in the upstairs computer. You reconnect the downstairs computer to the router with a patch cable.
