Web server not working, what am I missing
I am looking at shutting down one of my computers as I really don't use it much anymore... so I am trying to set up Apache web server on my main machine. It sets up fine... and I can type in the physical address of that computer and get the OK that the server is running.. but when I type in the actual web address.. nothing.... and yes, I did remember to update the IP address within my router to point to the new machine.
What info do you need and what am I missing. Running on Win XP Pro, clean install. BTW, I have tried setting up Abyss web server to see if that would work.. same problems.

Try making an entry in your hosts file for the www to IP.
