Loosing Internet connection
This is strange,
When ever my desk top is started up, I can connect to the web. After some time I cant connect any more. The icon in the lower right corner says Im still connected, I try to repair the connection, no help. I have to restart the pc in order to connect again. Ive tried disableng my virus software, firewall, pop-up blockers, antispy all that stuff. This PC is is wired to a SBC two wire modem/router, The wireless part of the system (my laptop) has no problems. The PC is running windows XP Pro SP2. Its a real pain. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank You Lenny |

Have you checked in the Device Manager when this disconnection occurs to see the status of your Network adapters? You might also try disconnecting the desktop and connecting the laptop hard wired using the same wire/port as the desktop. If the problem persists with the laptop, suspect a cable or modem/router problem. Otherwise, try a different adapter in the desktop. They are relatively inexpensive - less than $15.
