Internet Explorer Problem

I seem to have developed a problem with IE that has never existed before on my PC in the 4 years since I built it.

When I launch IE, it takes 10-15 seconds for the browser window to show up on the screen. I have compared this to my other computer that is also running Win XP and the IE window pops up almost instantaneously. I have a very fast Cable internet connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

thanks,

CV6

Send a message via MSN to doctorgonzo
Have you scanned recently for viruses and spyware?

Give this a try, it has worked for me a few times with a stubborn IE problem.

one thing i have noticed is that the issue only exists when i use 1 of the 2 user accounts i have setup in win xp. is there some setting in user accounts that might be causing Internet Explorer to have the 10-15 sec delay in loading?

thanks,

CFII

Log into that account, and before starting ANYTHING run HijackThis and save a log. Then do the same thing in the "good" account and compare the logs. Post any differences and maybe we can figure it out.
