How to enable Java in Firefox
Hi
After using IE for some time I have freshly installed and updated Firefox and it is now version 1.5.0.7 I cannot use my virgin.net online email because it tells me java isn't enabled. I've gone to Firfox - tools - 'options' and java IS enabled. I did a search on the problem and discovered that I had to open the Windows control panel - Java controls and enable Java there - I went to Java control - advanced tab - tag support - and sure enough when I opened it, Java was enabled for IE but not for Mozilla and Netscape, so I clicked to enable but get this message: X Warning - Browser Unable to change browser settings Please chaeck that Mozilla or Netscape is properly installed on the system and/or that you have sufficient permissions to change system settings. I have one account on this laptop and I am administrator. Any ideas? Thanks for reading, Last edited by glc; 10-02-2006 at 01:05 PM. |
