I already looked in the search part here and found several articles on the
subject, but still do need to know if you can install a patch or something in winfe to get internet connection sharing to work with a winse machine.heck not even sure how to set any of it up for sure.Any good links or answers are greatly appreciated. |

Well only the machine that has the connection needs to have at least win98se or better. The other machines just need to have DHCP enabled and can have 98fe etc., on them. Which OS does the server (or machine with Internet Connection) have? Which OS(s) do/does the client(s) have? HTH

That link gives you step-by-step instructions. Windows First Edition does not support ICS. Use the FE machine as the connection sharing computer (modem hooked to phone line) and load ICS on the SE machine, or use Analog X like Cobra says. Last edited by mc2phat; 08-26-2001 at 11:15 AM. |
