mirosoft update site freezes

My problem is---when I go to Microsoft web site to get my updates the browser just freezes up, I useing IE 6.0 and I have to use task manager to end task in order to do anything else with the Internet, I have not had any trouble getting to any other web site....If anyone here can help I will be very grateful..TIA...GaryD

At what point does the browser freeeze? If down loading, try one update at a time.

The web site does not fully materialize before it freezes

win2k,I did some research in Microsoft knowledge base and saw something about 2k having something in it send ip addresses to update site and if has been disabled it would not open the site. if this is true how do you about enabling again ???
