Well, the transfer thing once you fill out the paperwork can take 48-72hrs for all the nameservers to catch up with it. The worst that could happen is that people would only be able to access your old domain until the other kicks in. I have not heard anything good or bad about Namecheap. Sorry.

I thought they all were $35.00 per year. I guess I have seen some less. If it is a new Doamin name fatcow will do it cheap if you host with them. I guess you just want to move and park your domain name and not have a host provider yet. I have no idea of a cheaper one but I have used register.com but it is still $35.00 per year.

No Problem MrDon

Thank you again. Yes, I want to continue using one I have for a site waiting to be born... lol and a few others that I plan as babies of the one waiting to be born. LOL so I do need freeparking and glad its not NYC! I hav seen registration and transfers as cheap as $8 and $10 which for my purpose will be just fine - since my sites are still in the gestation process. LOL
NameCheap might work but I am not too confortable with there Contact Info. Let me know what u find out about them.
I am looking at stargateinc.com - they are in ILL. and have a 1(800)+ email support. Don't know how functional their 1(800) is or the respond time via email. ???

i moved mine from https://www.stargateinc.com/ . (It cost $10 to register the domain for a year)to
http://www.mydomain.com/ for free and then used the stealth URL forwarding to my page on http://www.brinkster.com/Default.asp which is also free and no ads.
works really well.

Nightsky - all domains *.com *.net are registered with www.networksolutions.com the only thing you have to do is log in with your username and password fill out a form and then you will and can transfer to where ever you like - Transfer will take something about between 24 hours and SEVEN WORKING DAYs if you are already a registered *.com or alike user then TRANSFER WILL BE FREE OF CHARGE even you transfer it 20 times .. There ain't no setup fee also ..

If you like to get a good going fast SERVER then sure Hypermart.net is free of charge for 50Mbfree space 1 email address (forwarder)and it would cost 99USD per year to have it BOT FREE - NO ADS.!

It not only your at this time used SERVER but it is NETWORKSOLUTIONS which has finally the last word of the transfer and this only if your data are matching.

Hope this helps

I have Domain Names Registered Already

HPRO, I am trying to renew for less than $18 per name so I want to transfer them to another registrar. I keep trying stargateinc but it times out on me everytime jokerman! I know I am not typing in the info too slow. I thought it was a technical website issue and contacted stargate but to no resolve. I have tried to transfer 4 domain names to their registrar and failed for the last 3days! Any ideas Jokerman?

Jokerman Questions?

Hi, I finally was able to complete the transfer process through Stargateinc.com and think I will manage them through mydomain.com as u suggested. mydomain.com website appears to function more smoothly than stargateinc, although I will give them a chance, after all they are renewing my domain names for only $8 ea. Question jokerman, do I have to physically sign and fax or mailin the stargate communication, inc. Registrar Transfer Agreement? Will my current homepagenames.com registrar contact me or do I need to contact them? Later and thanks again
