IE7 and Outlook font

First time poster here and I was hoping someone could help me out. I downloaded IE7 on Friday to my office computer. When I restarted my computer, I noticed a little problem. All the font in IE7 is boldface. Also, the text of most e-mails in my Outlook preview area is also bold. In IE7, if I click on File and then Properties, even the text in the Properties window is in boldface. The font in this new thread box is also bold. Here's a print screen image of the PCMech forum page to show what IE7 looks like on my end:

(I think I attached it but I'm not sure.) In Outlook, the font is not bold only when the e-mail was sent from a Blackberry. Also, if I hit "Reply," the bold face disappears and the font is normal. Also, when I print an e-mail or print a webpage, the font is normal on the printout.
Does anybody know how to get rid of this bold font? I've tried various things in both Outlook and IE7 and nothing is working. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Right click on your desktop->Properties->Apperance Tab->Effect Button->the second option->change from "Clear Type" to Standard.

I found the answer in another forum!!

If anyone is having the same problem, go to Tools (in IE7), then Internet Options, then Advanced, then go to the Multimedia category about halfway down, and uncheck the "Always use clear type for HTML" box. Close IE7 and when you re-open it, it'll be back to normal. I closed Outlook and re-opened it and it's fine too.
