Pissed weird stuff happening-Need Help

Today I got on my PC and went to the search button on the tool bar. It loaded
a sex warez web site or search engine in the area when I use to have a decent search engine. When I started to go to a bookmark, the screen started loading several pron pages. I just about couldn't close them as fast as they opened. How did it get there? A teen grandson and his friend was on the PC a few day's ago. Maybe they was checking out the sites. There was several bookmarked sites of this type and I know they would not have bookmarked them. How can I get all this junk off my PC?

I hate porn and do not visit their sites, but while searching for some MP3's a while back several "warez" type site added porn bookmarks to my IE favorites, which I had to go and delete. It must be fairly easy for them to make IE do this, as at no time did IE ask if I wanted to add them, it just did it all by itself. They frequently change your default startup page too. If you find a way of blocking this, let me know!

Hi pc_nut,

It's also a good idea to clear your temporary internet files (Tools->Internet Options->Delete Files), clear your cookies, and reset your home page. You can also use a program like WebWasher that will provide extra security and reduce pop-ups. Hope that helps.

pc_nut,

If you're still reading this, here is how to stop the IE search box from loading page.

Note to mod: This should be moved to Internet forum.
