what are the error messages saying specifically?

if your old pc is hooked up and outlook express is open and keeps downloading messages, then you will not be able to get those same messages on your new pc unless you A. setup outlook express on your old pc to leave a copy of each message on the server (which is your isp email server if you are using there email address) B. if you dont plan or want to use outlook express on your old pc anymore then simply stop using it or remove the pop3 email account from outlook express

You do not have the correct POP3 server name and you have it set to secure SSL. Open Outlook Express on the old computer without it connected to the Internet and copy the server settings exactly.
