found the answer
never mind: I know some in here would not recommend it and possible not give out information on how to revert back - but you have to respect what people would like to do sometimes.
This is what I wrote back: Hello. I would recommend sticking with Internet Explorer 7 for a little while. It really shouldn't be too much different and there has been a lot of improvements. Sooner or later - Microsoft won't support 6.x as time goes by. In addition, if there is something you can't find anymore - you should let me know and I can help out. Internet Explorer is very customizable. However: Here is the link from Microsoft on going back to the previous version. Go to Question #2 and the second half will have instructions for uninstalling Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/...t/default.mspx |

Just because your post doesn't get answered in 30 minutes or sooner doesn't mean that people are withholding help.

sorry, that isn't what I was replying at all. I have just noticed that sometimes when someone has a strong opinion about something against what you would like done or what you would like to know - they tend to just come right out and tell you there opinion and not help you. Example would be - Internet Explorer 7.x is the way of the future and Microsoft worked hard with all the improvements - I recommend you stay with Internet Explorer 7.x if you are going to continue using Internet Explorer
than it's the end of the story. I'm not saying it happens all of the time and in every forum. I wasn't implying that at all. Sorry for the misunderstanding |

IE7 should remove very easily using add/remove programs. I talked a friend of mine through it on the phone, and he, to be charitable, is a total computer nitwit.
