IE fix for bottom taskbar

Sometimes I am at a loss for words- not sure how to describe what I want to manipulate on IE 6 here.

Uh, you know those little boxes in the browser taskbar that represent an open browser at the bottom of the screen? I can't stand how IE 6 will stack them up so I can't see what that browser is opened to. I like it when they are spread across the taskbar so I can see it without having to click anything. Surely there must be a way to keep them from stacking up.

I guess I could switch to IE 7 and use tabs or use Firefox.... But Firefox opens to the Home site when you conjur up a new browser (Control N) and I don't like that either. And IE 7 is well... it's a new MS release- you know what I mean?

Thanks....

Right click on your Windows taskbar and click on Properties. Uncheck the box for "Group Similar Taskbar Buttons".

On a side note, Firefox probably has an option to set new windows to open to a homepage, current page or no page.

Firefox uses Ctrl-T for a new tab, and it will be blank. Ctrl-N opens a whole new browser window - which will stack on the taskbar just like IE.
