DC++ Problem

I'm using DC++ right now and am experiencing a problem I didn't have before. I am getting an error message which says,
You've been disconnected because the negotiation between your client and the hub took too long
Does anyone have any idea what I could do to fix this? I am using a LinkSys router and am wondering if I need to go into its configuration and allow DC++.
Thanks!
