email question for OE
Problem receiving pdf files from a sender.
Using Outlook Express / Windows XP / Dell Inspiron Notebook / DSL Service from Bellsouth I have clients who email me files, and one in particular sends me pdf files, which my Outlook Express tells me it has kicked out the attachment because it contains an executable file. I am trying to get this resolved so the files transfer without me having to send a message to the sender to use "screen bypass" in the subject line. I am receiving pdf files from other sources, just not from this particular sender. I should note that the sender does not have this issue with other people they send their messages to. Thanks in advance. Patrick |

Go to Tools>Options>security tab and see if the box is checked for "Do not allow to save or opn attachments that could potentially be a virus"
If it's checked then unchecking it will solve your problem, just be extra careful opening attachments, be sure you know who they are from and that they are safe.
