Can someone please explain How you connect 2 computers via modem for gaming? My son wants to connect to his friend's computer across the street so they can play each other in a game.
I don't know how to set the modems up so one will answer when the other calls, etc. Our computer is running Win 95, the other is Win 98. ------------------ "To speak ill of others is a dishonest way of praising ourselves" |

What game do they want to play?
Usually all the stuff is in the game, you would select direct modem connection, and then one person would click dial, and the other answer. ------------------ -Charlie |

Here's more info;
My son can hear his friend dial into his computer. Then it connects but gives an error message to the effect: "Can't find CD at this location". ------------------ "To speak ill of others is a dishonest way of praising ourselves" |

I beleive that whatever game they are trying to play, that they will both need a copy of the same version CD inserted in the drive.
